In order to provide you with context-aware AI comments, the Extension collects and processes the following information:

• Website Content: The Extension temporarily reads the text of the LinkedIn posts visible in your active feed. This text is required to generate a relevant, contextual reply.
• Local Storage Data: We store your personal settings (such as target keywords, custom prompts, and extension toggle states) locally on your device (browser storage) to ensure a seamless experience across sessions.

We do NOT collect: Passwords, emails, browsing history, financial data, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is strictly used for the core functionality of the Extension:

• To send the post text to our secure backend API (api.cyberethic.in) exclusively for the purpose of generating an AI comment response.
• To enforce safety cooldowns and prevent duplicate commenting using your locally stored engagement history.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We take your privacy seriously. We comply with all Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies regarding data usage:

• We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.
• We do not use or transfer your data for purposes that are unrelated to the single purpose of the Extension.
• We do not use or transfer your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

4. Data Retention

The post content read from your LinkedIn feed is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers. Your preferences and engagement history are stored locally on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser data.
